Kelvin Humphreys has been appointed CHH’s Director of Strategy. The new role will help us meet our ambitious goals as a partner of choice for smart connectivity solutions. Kelvin took up the full time position after spending more than 18 months providing consultancy for CHH’s leadership team and will prove pivotal to the success of our journey.
Our business has enjoyed significant growth since a change of ownership in March 2022. Paul Turner (CEO) and Cory McFarlane (COO) have built on strong foundations through continuous improvement across all of our divisions and building a one-stop-shop for customers across a range of sectors.
In early 2023 the team engaged the consultancy services of Kelvin Humphreys to develop a robust business plan and put mechanisms in place to set targets and track progress. Kelvin was also instrumental in supporting international expansion by helping set up CHH’s Networking, Cable and Connectivity Solutions division based in Dubai and has carried out valuable work tracking market trends and investigating new commercial opportunities.
Kelvin has now taken up a full time role as Director of Strategy to take that work to the next level and ensure CHH builds a resilient and successful business model. He already has a close relationship with our leadership team having worked with Paul Turner whilst both were employed by Belden, a global manufacturer of networking, connectivity, and cable products.
Working for CHH full time, Kelvin has made the most of the opportunity to immerse himself in day-to-day operations, gaining a detailed knowledge of our people, products and customer base.
Kelvin explained: “I’m very excited about my new role. CHH is on a very impressive growth trajectory and things are moving very quickly. I have already done a lot of work as a consultant developing our strategic plan and processes. I am now able to play a key role in implementing what we have put in place.”
Kelvin is in the process of recruiting a Commercial Financial Analyst to assist him in identifying new revenue streams and track performance against clear metrics. Having reliable data to highlight opportunities and inform decision making will prove invaluable to CHH as we look to extend our reach.
“I’m relishing the challenge,” says Kelvin. “We have an inspirational leadership team, great people and a positive culture. The company has a great future, and I’m delighted to be helping shape it.”
CHH’s CEO Paul Turner commented: “We’re delighted to have Kelvin on board. He has an impressive skill set and has been instrumental in helping Cory and I take the business forward over the last 18 months. We are working on several exciting projects and having that strategic support will help CHH fulfil its potential.”
