CHH has welcomed Florian Rottenegger to the role of Technical Sales Manager as we build on our capabilities as a smart connectivity solution provider. With a strong background in engineering and international technical sales, Florian will play a key role in helping us apply our broad capabilities to resolve customer pain points and drive value through long term strategic partnerships.
Born in Germany, Florian trained as an engineer and started his career gaining a grounding in production, maintenance and quality control. He then spent more than four years at Belden Sichert working in product management and sales. His technical knowledge, customer focus, and commercial awareness made him a natural fit for CHH’s evolving proposition.
Having known CHH as a customer during his time at Belden Sichert, Florian had already built strong relationships with the team and was impressed by the company’s culture and approach. He was so impressed with our growth trajectory and people-focused approach that he relocated from Berlin to Birmingham to take up the post of Technical Sales Manager.
He said: “I developed a good relationship with people at CHH, and it felt like a warm and welcoming business. That atmosphere made my decision to join, and my transition into the role, really easy.”
Florian officially joined our team on 1 April and has since been busy gaining a deep understanding of our operations, capabilities and strategic priorities. This includes spending time with CHH colleagues across divisions to get to grips with how we apply our technical services, product solutions, and lifecycle solutions to address customer pain points.
His role will evolve over time to respond to changing business needs but will remain focused on solution selling. CHH’s Chief Executive Officer Paul Turner said: “It’s all about moving away from a product-led approach to selling outcomes and that is where Florian’s skillset really fits in.”
He adds:” He brings a great mix of technical expertise and cultural alignment. He already knows the business well and shares our values. He is the first of several new team members who will strengthen our ability to act as a genuine solutions provider, working in partnership with customers to deliver long-term value.”
Paul is a strong believer in building an organisation around the right people. “For me, the mark of a great business is getting the right people on board the bus,” he said. “Florian is one of those people. We didn’t have a fixed role in mind at first, but we knew he would add value. Now he’s here, we’re shaping the role around his strengths and around the direction the business is heading.”
One of Florian’s first responsibilities has been to provide additional capacity in managing existing client accounts, helping to ease the load on CHH’s Managing Director of the Design, Engineering & Manufacturing business, Liz Scott, and giving her more time to focus on strategic leadership. Over time, Florian’s role will expand to include more direct customer engagement, technical scoping, and input into future service development.
Florian is relishing the challenge. He said: “I am looking forward to spending time with customers on site, understanding their context and identifying how we can help. That’s what I enjoy most- translating their challenges into deliverable solutions.”
His appointment is a strategic step towards delivering CHH’s wider business objectives of deepening customer relationships, accelerating solution-led growth, and strengthening technical capability across the organisation. With his unique combination of engineering expertise, commercial insight, and international experience, Florian will help us unlock new opportunities and ensure that customer needs continue to drive innovation.
