CHH Supports Delivery of Major New Nuclear Power Station

CHH Conex Ltd has been awarded a contract from a long-standing client to supply a range of equipment enclosures and wall mount cabinets for a major new nuclear power station. The work will support the delivery of the UK’s first nuclear plant to be built in 25 years.

CHH has worked with this key client for the last two decades supporting telecoms, transport and cable integration projects and managed services. This new contract has seen CHH collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers, covering design, development, configuration, and testing, specifically for seismically classified enclosures.

These enclosures will house a range of active & passive components, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Public Address and Voice Alarm systems (PAVA).

Once running, this Nuclear Power Station will generate low carbon electricity for around six million homes, create over 25,000 new employment opportunities and bring lasting social and economic benefits to communities in the region.

CHH’s Head of Sales & Business Development, Nick Turley said: “With the CHH team and key partners, we are proud of our achievements to date in being part of this project. The UK needs continued investment in energy infrastructure, especially with the commitment to achieving net zero carbon emissions to combat climate change.”
