Key promotions help equip CHH for the next stage of growth

CHH has made four internal promotions to underline a commitment to home grown talent and help take our business to the next level. From procurement to quality, we have strengthened our teams to drive efficiencies and exploit new opportunities as we continue to develop our smart connectivity offer.

CHH’s Supply Chain team sits at the heart of the business managing relationships and ensuring we have the right materials at the right time and for the right price. As the business grows, the procurement function becomes ever more critical and will be key to helping us manage risk and build resilience as we compete on the global stage.

The team will now be headed up by Jess Scott who has been promoted to the role of Supply Chain Manager. Jess has been with CHH for seven years and recently completed her Level 4 CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply). The new appointment will allow Jess to focus on strategic leadership and she is already putting theory into practice as she reviews supplier agreements, maximises cost saving opportunities and focuses on sustainable sourcing.

Within Jess’s department Tim Lamburn will take on the role of Buyer and apply the knowledge gained in his CIPS Level 3. Meanwhile, following completion of her apprenticeship, Elisha College has moved from the warehouse team to take on Tim’s former role of Purchasing Administrator.

The restructuring has paved the way for Jess’s former manager Alan Brettle to continue with his career progression by taking on a dedicated role as Technical Sales Support & Estimating Manager. The move will allow him to use his wealth of experience at CHH to create a conduit between our expanding sales, supply chain and engineering departments, supporting colleagues as they quote for new work.

Elsewhere in the business, Sarah Sherwood has been promoted to SHEQ Manager. She is tasked with continuing her leadership of CHH’s quality systems and the processes, whilst ensuring that we continue to track and monitor progress in meeting our sustainability goals.

CHH’s Chief Operating Officer Cory McFarlane said: “It is great to be able to reward people for their hard work and demonstrate our commitment to continuous professional development. We can never afford to stand still and need to keep investing and exceeding customer expectations. It will be exciting to see how everyone progresses and as we continue to expand there will be more opportunities to develop and promote our talented team.”
